Accounting software for Canadian small businesses
Every number in your business, in one ledger.
Invoices, bills, bank feeds, payroll and GST/HST live in one set of books. AI reads the paperwork and drafts the entries. You confirm every one.
Scroll to watch one month of paperwork become the books.
01 Read
Read three times, checked once more.
Fynix finds every word on every page, sorts it into vendor, date, subtotal, GST and total, and reads each document three times. The subtotal plus GST must equal the total, or the document is flagged.
02 Matched
Matched to your bank.
The total is matched to its line in your bank feed: the same amount to the cent, dates within four days, and the same vendor.
03 Confirmed
Nothing posts until you confirm.
Each draft goes to a review lane based on its amount and how sure the AI is. You tap Confirm, and your name and the time are saved to an audit trail that cannot be edited.
04 Posted
Into the books, balanced.
Each confirmed document is written to the general journal in turn. For the month, 22,114.41 on both sides: debits equal credits, or nothing is saved.
05 Live books
Your month, already written.
Revenue, expenses, net income and GST/HST owing come straight from the ledger, with the income statement and trial balance ready.
06 Canada
Tax, payroll and answers, built in.
GST/HST returns as drafts, CPP, CPP2 and EI checked on every pay run, and an AI Advisor that answers from your books and shows the ledger lines it used.
07 One ledger
One ledger behind all of it.
From a pile of receipts to a filed return, every number comes from the same books.
Kestrel Weld & Fab is a fictional business. Documents and figures are examples.
How it works
One bank line, start to finish.
A payment leaves your bank. Fynix finds the bill it pays, checks the amount, date and vendor, and sends it to the right review lane. You confirm, and it is posted with your name and the time.
Bank line 3,307.50, PAD NORTHGATE STEEL, matched to bill NS-2231. Amount, date and vendor checked. Confirmed by you and posted: 2100 Accounts payable Dr 3,307.50, 1010 Chequing Cr 3,307.50.
The busywork
Most of bookkeeping is copying.
Copy the bank line into a spreadsheet. Find the bill. Check the amount. Work out the GST. Fynix does the copying and leaves you the decisions.
Bank feeds, invoices, bills, payroll, GST/HST and the Excel export all feed one general ledger.
The rule
Nothing posts until you say so.
AI drafts. You confirm. A confidence score only decides how much checking a draft gets, never whether a person checks it.
- Full reviewPayroll, tax, $5,000 or more, or anything below 85%
- Fast confirmUnder $5,000 and 85% to 99% sure
- Instant confirmUnder $5,000 and 99% or more. Still one tap from you
Review queue: Full review, Fast confirm and Instant confirm. Bill NS-2231 from Northgate Steel, 3,307.50, confirmed by the owner and saved to the audit trail.
Audit trail
Every entry is on the record.
Who confirmed it, when, and what changed. The database refuses edits and deletions to the audit trail, so mistakes are reversed, never erased.
Audit trail: Oct 27 09:41, bill NS-2231 confirmed, 3,307.50. Oct 24 16:02, fuel receipt confirmed, 99.56. Oct 22 11:15, payment for invoice 1039 confirmed, 9,000.00. Edits and deletions are refused.
Every page
The whole app, area by area.
Pick an area to see its screen and every page in it. One company, one ledger, so a bill, a bank line and a statement always agree.

AI in Fynix
AI does the reading. You make the call.
It reads documents, matches bank lines, explains your numbers and prepares drafts. It never posts, sends, files or pays on its own.
- AI Advisor
- Ask about your books in plain words. Answers cite the ledger lines they come from.
- Weekly briefing
- Every Monday: what happened, why, and what to do next, with dollar amounts.
- 90-day cash prediction
- Updated daily from invoices, bills, payroll and history, with a warning 30 days before cash runs short.
- Unusual activity
- Entries that look wrong are flagged Watch, Investigate or Urgent, each with a reason.
- Draft agents
- Month-end close, catch-up bookkeeping, GST/HST preparation and collections. Every step ends as a draft for a person.
Why did fuel costs go up in October? Vehicle fuel was $1,284.60 in October, up from $94.82 in September. Most of the increase comes from 14 receipts at Range Road Fuel after the second service truck started on October 6. These are possible causes, not certainties. Sources: 15 entries in account 5410 Vehicle fuel, October 1 to 31, 2026. Each entry opens its receipt.
Made for Canada
Canadian tax, payroll and banks, from the first line of code.
- GST/HSTTax on every line
- Every purchase and sale carries its tax code. Input tax credit limits, such as 50% on meals, are set on the account.
- CRAReturns as drafts
- Fynix prepares the GST/HST return from your books. A person reviews and files it.
- PayrollCPP, CPP2 and EI
- Deductions are checked on every pay run, with reminders for T4 slips, Records of Employment and remittances.
- BanksCanadian bank feeds
- Bank accounts connect through Flinks, and each bank line is matched to an invoice, bill or receipt.
- Year-endClose the year properly
- Fiscal years with a soft lock and a hard lock, retained earnings carried forward, and one Excel workbook with every report.
- Your startBring last year with you
- Import years of spreadsheet data and last year's figures from your filed return, then check the reports before you go live.
Safeguards
Five rules the ledger is built on.
These are not settings you can turn off. They are how the software works.
Nothing posts without a person.
Every posting records who confirmed it and when, at any amount and any confidence score.
Every entry balances.
If debits do not equal credits, the whole entry is rejected. Part of an entry is never saved.
AI writes drafts only.
What the AI produces goes to a drafts area. It has no direct way to change your ledger.
Money is exact.
Amounts are stored to four decimal places and calculated without floating-point rounding, so cents never drift.
The audit trail cannot be edited.
The database blocks changes and deletions to the audit log. Records are reversed, never erased.
