About Fynix
Bookkeeping should not be copying.
Fynix is accounting software for small businesses in Canada and the people who keep their books. It is being built in Canada.
Why Fynix exists
Most small business books are still typed in by hand.
In many small businesses, paper bills, fuel receipts and bank statements are read one line at a time and typed into a spreadsheet. GST/HST, payroll deductions and year-end adjustments are then worked out on top of that spreadsheet.
It is slow, mistakes are hard to find, and the owner rarely sees a clear picture of cash until it is too late to act on it.
Fynix reads the paperwork, drafts the entries and keeps everything in one double-entry ledger. A person still confirms every entry, because the books have to be right, and someone has to be able to say why.
What we believe
Four principles behind every decision.
- 01A person confirms every entry
- AI can read and draft. It does not post, file, send or pay on its own, at any confidence.
- 02The books must be exact
- Every entry balances, money is never rounded by a computer's floating point, and history is reversed, never erased.
- 03Plain words
- Every page explains what it is for and what to do next, so an owner who is not an accountant can still understand their books.
- 04Built for Canada
- GST/HST, CPP, CPP2, EI, the CRA and Canadian banks are part of the design from the first line of code.
